It took a year of concentrated dialogues after which WESA – World ESports Association has been finally founded. WESA is an effort to make e-sports more professional for which ESL has been working diligently with many well-known industries prominent e-sports teams to make vulnerable and all-encompassing organization to supervise consistent tourney protocols, player representation as well as income distribution for teams.
WESA intends to get all the e-sports participants like the teams, players, organizers and broadcasters, together for a dialogue so as to bring about transparency among each other. The discussion will also lead to edifice and expectable agendas. Eight of the world’s leading gaming companies have funded to establish WESA. The association aims to enlarge the organization and talks are already in progress with several other associations.

WESA has created an Operated Player Council which has been elected by the players and will characterize, advocate and strengthen all the significant topics like rule sets, policies of the league, transferring the players and many others in the interest of the pro gamers. ESL Pro League for CS:GO will be the first official e-sports competition to embrace the WESA regulations.

The first Interim League Commissioner of the Player council is Pietro Gringuelli. He brings with him a fortune of knowledge and proficiency from his time as a mentor to selected prime traditional sports establishments in Europe. Gringuelli will administer the work of WESA agents and the Player Council.
