A digital library, multidisciplinary and community for the Francophonie

Paris, March 9, 2011 – La Francophonie and scientific university covers the five continents. With this geographical diversity, the AUF is designed to enhance knowledge of the Francophonie in promoting scientific cooperation, training the actors in development, by supporting research and sharing expertise.

In this context, the 41 French-speaking digital campus of AUF to endow a digital library, designed by multidisciplinary and community Cyberlibris.

The digital library developed by Cyberlibris strengthens each of these missions by enabling each student, teacher or researcher regardless of its location: Having a multidisciplinary catalog (Economics, Engineering Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences), rich of about 15,000 works from the collections of nearly 300 publishing houses of the most prestigious in the world.

Access to key features in an academic context (creating shelves thematic annotation of books, sharing notes and comments, create reading groups …).

“With this library, AUF Deploys a key tool in its strategy of opening up of academic institutions francophones” says Bernard Cerquiglini, Rector of the AUF.
