Phase one of San Francisco Public Library’s adoption at ALA Annual Conference in Washington
3M Library Systems has introduced significant enhancements to its RFID (radio frequency identification) systems that help improve the performance, ease of use, and aesthetics of the technology for library applications, at the American Library Association’s annual conference and exhibition at the Washington Convention Center.
The enhanced SelfCheck System C-Series from 3M for self-service returns now permits external and internal drop chutes to be in close proximity, facilitating convenient sorting options. C-Series systems check in returned items in real time, allowing for the fast return of materials to circulation, while automatically identifying “holds” and “exceptions”
