A new wave of rumours about the next eminent flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S4 has now reached our ears. The common feature of all these rumours is that the unit could incorporate a flexible display.
It’s been some time since the technology first began that could be used in the development of flexible displays, but 2013 could be the year that we see the first mobile phone models with a display of this type. All, Samsung, LG, Nokia, Philip and Sony have announced that they are working to develop flexible displays, and perhaps Samsung will be the one who finally takes the step of going to market with the first model to feature this type of display.
One source that supports all of this information is the BBC, which further notes that Samsung is working on OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) flexible, since it believes that this kind of material is the next “Big Thing” in the world of smartphones.
Superior in Everyway the Flexible Screen!
An official connected with Samsung said:
“Flexible displays are rolling, ductile and more, enjoying higher temperature endurance and durability, and are much better designed thanks to a plastic substrate that is thinner, lighter and more flexible than the traditional LCD technology. “
At the moment it is still a rumour, but now comes the third wave of leaks that talk about changes in the display of the next Galaxy, which previously spoke of a large 5-inch screen and now referred to a flexible type screen. It seems that the S4 will have one of its strong features being the New Flexible Smartphone Screen.
