Apple Updates 12-Inch MacBook
The second generation MacBook is a tempting buy along with its new Rose Gold color and Core M chips.
Apple has recently updated its MacBook which they launched last year. The ultra-thin 2 pound weighing, metal bodied notebook remains 13.1 mm thick, with other features like the Force Touch Trackpad and the Butterfly Mechanism Keyboard. It also keeps its original look of no moving parts, vents or fan which makes the MacBook silent.
Improvements have been made to the battery life, increased by an hour more now due to the 41.4 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery. The original MacBook had a 39.7 watt-hour battery; a full charge lasted up to 9 hours.
Apart from the boosted battery life, the company has also upgraded the graphics subsystem and the processor, adding extra choices on colors of the MacBook as well. It offers 2 standard configurations of the latest MacBook along with Skylake Processors which is an upgrade over the processors in the previous MacBook.
The price of the new 12 inch MacBook is also $1,299 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD and 64-bit 1.1 GHz dual-core processor with Turbo Boost up to 2.2 GHz. The Core M5 version for $1,599 comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD and 64-bit 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core processor (M5) with Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz. Both the models come along with the option to upgrade to 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel Core processor (M7) turbo boost up to 3.1 GHz just for an extra fee of $150. However there is no such option to upgrade the storage.
The new 12-inch MacBook does not add any extra ports. There is a single USB-C port which is used for charging, USB port, data transfer all in one. It is designed for the wireless world and is equipped with all the latest wireless technologies. The 2016 update of the 12 inch MacBook has made it tempting buy for the Apple lovers.
