Have you been gagging to get your very own Android phone? If you do, then perhaps you have been looking at various phone reviews and other websites that gives you a detailed list of the specs and features of a particular phone. But before you even attempt to shop for one, you do need to acquaint yourself first with the basics. At least, you will not be able to commit a mistake of shopping which phone to go for when you got the budget to do so.

Here are the basics when it comes to shopping for an Android phone:

1. Brand.
The common brands that are selling Android phones on the market are Samsung, HTC, and Motorola to name a few. Now what you need to do is come up with a good decision on choosing which brand to go for. Would you go for an HTC? Or do you fancy having an Android phone coming from Motorola? Every brand has its own strengths and weaknesses with regard to creating a phone. You need to have an open eye for that. At least you will know what to expect.

2. Model.
Next on the list would be the model. This is where the confusion sets in. So, you have chosen which brand of Android to go for, the next thing you do need to do is for you to determine what model you wish to buy out of the many models being sold out there in the market. Remember, just for the simple reason that a model is the latest addition to a brand; this does not mean that it is the best. You do need to do a thorough research regarding a particular model and if it is worth having one.

3. Features.
Third would be the features. Do you want your Android phone to be more fun and entertainment oriented or one that has more features geared towards catering to the needs of a businessman? Four features that you do need to keep an eye on will be the camera/video capability, version of the Android software, Wifi enabled, and memory.

4. Price.
Lastly is the price of the Android. The top line phone would always cost more compared to a middle range phone. Therefore, you want to make sure that the Android smartphone you are trying to purchase for yourself is within your budget. If it is, chances are you will be using your credit card and not be able to pay off or worst you will be in huge debt.

The four above-mentioned basics for shopping will help every consumer out there who seeks to buy an Android phone to be a smart shopper and not end up regretting the decision made.
